Our team makes mealtime special … and simple.
We buy the ingredients.
On the morning of your event, Chef Kristin personally hand selects the freshest, highest quality ingredients, from the farmer’s market, to the seafood counter, to the specialty stores. We source everything needed for an amazing meal.
We cook in your home.
Chef Kristin and team arrive at your location with equipment and groceries three hours prior to meal service and begin meal preparation.
We serve each dish.
After Chef Kristin plates each dish personally, meals are served either formally, in a multi-course format, or more casually, family style, based on your preference.
We clean up.
At the end of meal service, your kitchen is cleaned and returned to the condition we found it in.

Where We Operate
Chef Kristin and team offer private chef services in the Palm Desert/Palm Springs area of California, and throughout the island of Maui, in Hawaii. Chef Kristin Michaels herself chefs seasonally in both locales.

Our Pricing Structure
Our charges are comprised of labor and grocery costs.
- Chef
- Hawaii @ $95/hour
- California @ $115/hour ($140/hour for dates after 12/31/24)
- On Hotel Property: Call for quote.
- Global: Call for quote.
- Sous-Chef/Server @ $75/hour
- Shopping @ $55/hour
All grocery costs are billed separately.
Additional costs to consider may include rental equipment, tables, plates, glassware, etc., if necessary.
Higher rates may apply for holidays, festive season and dates that coincide with special events.
Gratuity
For most parties, gratuities are given at the discretion of the client.
For parties of 8 or more, or service for parties of any size spanning three days or more, an 18% gratuity is included in the final bill.
Tax
- Hawaii Clients: Hawaii General Excise Tax at a rate of 4.712% will be added to all invoices.
- California Clients: California Sales Tax at a rate of 8.75% will be added to all invoices.
Deposits
We require a deposit of $500 at the time of booking to reserve funds for grocery costs and in the event of a cancellation by the client.
Cancellations
All cancellations must be made by the client at least seven (7) days prior to their service date to receive a full refund.
